Toad King and Tree Fairy
Toad king is a marionette made using paper clay. It is a fairly simple marionette as the legs are not strung up, only the wings move. He is a very happy Toad King, although he needs to practice his flying.
The Tree Fairy was made using a piece of branch I found in a heap in my backyard, haha. I looked for a suitable piece, sawed it, carved it a little, made the face and bird with paper clay. The box frame was repainted, then varnished. The poem, 'Caribbean Fairies' was written by me, and is the inspiration for all of these pieces.
